For 8 years our group have visited Kington for a golf break and much enjoyed our stay at the Burton Hotel. The staff have always given us a very warm welcome and the standard of bedrooms, cleanliness throughout and the relaxation at Cloud Nine pool are a pleasure. Must not forget the excellent evening meals and breakfasts and the busy bar which all make this a regular trip with many more of our friends wanting to join our group each year.

Our first visit to Kington and The Burton Hotel was fantastic! The room was very spacious and clean, the staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We made good use of the spa, which we found aided our relaxation at the end of the day. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Our room was large and very comfortable, but the best thing of this hotel is the staffs. So friendly but not intrusive, welcoming but not pushy. After all these years of searching, we decided this is the one we will return annuallyfor the hay-on-Wye festival stay.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Just home from a wonderful two nights staying at The Burton Hotel.Couldn't have asked for more. The room was outstanding, well furnished, the beds very comfortable and with a good sized flat-screen TV.We really enjoyed making use of the leisure facilities and appreciated being able to use them early in the morning and up to 9.30pm in the evening. The breakfast was perfect and the waitress was very accommodating to everyone's requests. Wonderful to find a hotel that is so enjoyable to stay at and is dog-friendly also.Thank you to all at The Burton for a lovely couple of days away.We look forwards to returning.

Stayed here on a KGB deal &it exceeded our expectation. On check in we were shown the Spa &up to our room which was clean &spacious. The evening meal on both nights was very good &it was nice using the Spa. Kington itself was a bit of a let-down but Hereford is not far away &the Wine Vaults a few doors away was interesting.

We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night, so the hotel (and the town itself) was very quiet and maybe lacked a little atmosphere as a result, I'm sure it's better when it's busier. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. We ate in the bar and had breakfast in the dining room, the food in both was nice. The spa was great and was probably the busiest part of the hotel when we were there. We had a very pleasant stay.

We had a fantastic stay. Rooms clean, food good, friendly staff. The pool &spa are lovely. Only suggestion would be normal hair driers in bedroom as it would free up bathroom for next person. Not a major issue though as I'd just pack my own next time.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable 3 day stay with friends. Hotel staff are very welcoming and cheerful, rooms clean and the bed very comfortable (9) We were particularly impressed by the immaculately clean swimming pool - the only negative aspect was that Jessica left early on Tuesday ;I was told she would be there until 7 but when I tried to make an appointment around 4.30 I was told she had gone home already. Slightly disappointing after a long day walking. However, we were delighted with the hotel. We ate in the dining room, and the menu was wide, and the food perfectlycooked. Thank you Anne Marie for looking after us so well.I will not hesitate to return when I complete the next part of the Offas dyke walk.Elizabeth Giltinan

We enjoyed using the pool area each morning , maybe the hand rail into the pool should be tightened because its a bit wobbly but apart from that we have only praise for all of you and look forward to returning another time.
Thank you for your review and we were glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us.We have now repaired the hand rail into the pool to stop the wobble. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Burton in the future.

I have stayed at The Burton at least once a year (usually for 4 nights in Spring and a few in Autumn) for more years than I care to remember and I have nothing but praise for this Market Town hotel. I must be pleased with this place as I keep coming back and I do so only because it is so good. The rooms are comfortable and clean;the staff are excellent and very helpful;the management will do everything they can to make your stay a great one;the food is wonderful and in sufficient volume if that is what you want, to satisfy a big eater;good wine list;excellent beers on draught;the bar is great and usually populated with friendly locals;the location is great for walkers, golfers or just for a quiet stay and there is a lovely garden behind the hotel where onsunny evening you can relax. Add to that the Leisure centre next door (owned by and run by the hotel owner) where you can relax in a sauna, steam room;jacuzzi, swim in the pool or, if you are really energetic a full gymnasium is also available. The hotel can also organise for you to play golf on the highest course in England from where on a clear day you can see 7 Counties. Before you think "Bet he doesn't stay at many hotels".. let me tell you that I spent my professional life in some hotel or other and usually a big chain hotel in some foreign country or even in the UK, four nights a week for every week of the year with the exception of vacations for more than 30 years so I know a thing or two about hotel living and of all the hotels I have stayed in, this one is one of the very best. If you want liveried flunkies at your every whim and call or a lettuce leaf on which resides a single caviar egg as your meal then this place is not for you and candidly in my opinion you are being a poser and a veritable pain in the bottom, but if you just want a lovely hotel where you can really feel at home with great people in a lovely location then DO give the Burton a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Our recent stay at your hotel was far better than expected as we booked through KGB Deals and did not know what to expect for the offer. Your Hotel is lovely and clean, excellent staff who were always happy to help, the food was yummy and fabulous value. The only thing I would slightly find fault with was our squeaky bed, getting in and out was a noisy experience, but otherwise everything including the lovely pool and gym was wonderful and would certainly stay with yo again, Thank you x

We stayed at the Burton hotel through an offer website, two nights, bed and breakfast and one evening meal. The room was a good size, with twin bed and a single, and the en-suite was also large. Both were clean and reasonably well-equipped, but would benefit from freshening up. Our evening meal and breakfasts were good;the chef clearly has a bit of imagination and puts it to good use. The restaurant is quite large, with tables well spaced out.The Burton Hotel is well-positioned for exploring Herefordshire, and I'd stay there again, but would look for a similar deal.
